Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving
Day in Antarctica. Almost as nice as being home...since this is my McMurdo
family. The festive meal included turkey, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs,
fresh-baked bread and pumpkin pie. I felt like I had a lot to be thankful
for. I've met such terrific people here.
This table
of goofy folks was nearby. Chris (curly blond hair) and Brandon (curly
brown hair) play on my soccer team (we're undefeated). Greg (almost no
hair) looks somewhat normal in this picture but is really quite wacky.
He keeps me laughing!
I ate with
a big group that included two of my closest friends -- Ty (left) and Henry
(center). We are like the three amigos...you'll usually find us parka
sledding down steep hills, throwing each other in deep pools of water
and challenging each other to games of darts, soccer and thumb wrestling.
Another
one of my best buds....Sandy. We work together on The Antarctic Sun.
Someone's gotta clean up, and these three look so good doing it.Kelly (left), Liz and Anne are always prepared for any look. Gobble, gobble!
